We Are a People of Faith

The core of the Christian faith is a person, not a set of abstract ideas or beliefs. It is the person of God as revealed in His Son our Lord Jesus Christ. It is Christ who governs our words and our actions as we live out his will in our personal lives and His Church. 

  • God the Father: We believe that there is but one, true, and living God. We believe God is the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ and He is the Creator of this world, and He works all things to the good pleasure of His will and for the benefit of His people.
  • The Lord Jesus Christ: We believe Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. He was born of the Virgin Mary as the Scripture says, he took on humanity and through Him, God himself entered the human experience to save us from our sins.   
  • The Holy Spirit: We believe the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and Son and abides in all who place faith in Jesus Christ. According to John 16:8, the Holy Spirit will convict the world of sin, righteousness, and of judgment. The presence of the Spirit in the life of believers is the seal of God until the day of redemption.
  • The Church: We believe the Church is the whole assembly of those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as prescribed in Scripture. It is the visible church that has been called out of the world to minister to God in worship and minister to the saints in nurture, and minister to the world in witness.
  • The Holy Scripture: We believe the Bible is the revelation of God of Himself and His plan of salvation for the world. We believe it is without error in its original autographs, without any intent to deceive, and that it contains all things which are essential for knowing God through Jesus Christ and no one is bound to perform any acts of salvation that it does not teach or has not demonstrated.
